Should I buy an airline ticket online?

Buying a ticket online could save you money, albeit you may have to fly at odd hours and endure a bunch of layovers on your way to your destination. But be careful: Many of these great rates are nonrefundable, and many are posted without the approval of the airline. Also, travelers who book their flights online may not necessarily be informed when the airline changes or cancels the scheduled departure. Always print out your reservation details, and phone the airline to confirm the flight the day before you are scheduled to leave.
