Buying a Used Car

Besides from the car seller, are there other ways to find out about a car's history?

Yes. Websites such as www.autocheck.com and www.carfax.com make it easy to find services that will provide you with detailed repair, odometer, and histories for many used cars on the market. The car's vehicle identification number (VIN) is the key to getting details about a car's history, and search services will ask for this number to do a search.

You should confront the seller if the vehicle history report does not match what the seller told you about the car.
