Should I bring my car to a service station?

This is a good option for nonwarranty work if the mechanics have adequate training and test equipment. Parts might cost more, but labor might be less expensive than dealer repairs. If you regularly use a particular service station, the mechanics get to know your car, and they might spot potential problems early.
