The Stop

A police officer is signaling me to pull over. What should I do?

Pull over to the side of the road as quickly and safely as possible. Remain in your vehicle until the officer otherwise directs you. Get ready to produce your license, registration, and proof of insurance, because you may be asked to do so. Sit quietly and keep your hands in view, so the officer does not think that you may be reaching for a weapon.
