Accidents

What might happen if I believe a car accident is at least partly my fault?

You may not be in the best position to determine how an accident happened. Defective equipment in your vehicle, a malfunctioning traffic signal, or another driver's intoxication are among the many possible causes of the accident. If you accept blame and apologize to the other driver, your statements may be used as evidence against you at trial. Leave it to the judge or the jury to decide who is at fault.
