Federal Laws Regulating the Workplace
What types of employers are regulated under Title VII?
This federal law covers both public (government) and private employers that employ at least fifteen people. Title VII also covers unions and employment agencies. Remember, however, that state or local law prohibiting employment discrimination may cover employers with fewer than fifteen employees.
