Can an employer fire workers because they exercise their rights under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)?
No. The NLRA prohibits an employer from discharging, disciplining, or otherwise discriminating against employees who exercise their rights under the NLRA. Prohibited discrimination includes demotion, layoff, wage cut, and denial of a promotion.
