What should an employee do if he or she thinks there is a safety or health hazard at work?

There are two methods of addressing safety and health problems: The employee can notify his or her supervisor or company safety director and discuss the problem; and an employee can also contact Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and request a safety inspection.
