How do I go about finding the right level of insurance for my business?
You'd probably do best to buy all of your business insurance from one source, so you don't duplicate coverage. Ask other business owners which insurance agents or brokers they'd recommend. It's best to work with an insurance agent who represents a number of insurance companies. Because of this independence, he or she is not tied to a particular company and is in a position to select advantageous coverage for you from a wide range of vendors. If your business has special insurance needs, your business association or an owner of a similar kind of business might be able to suggest agents with experience in insuring businesses such as yours. Usually, it's a good idea to discuss your needs with several agents. Not only will you be able to compare quotes, but from each you will get a perspective on which types of insurance your business needs.
