Claims, Decisions, and Appeals

How long does it take to receive a decision from a Social Security Administration (SSA) administrative hearing?

You should receive a decision within two to three months after the hearing. You will receive a written decision. If your claim is approved, you may be able to collect benefits dating back to when you filed your original claim. For disability, back benefits may date as far back as twelve months prior to the application date.
