Living Trusts

It sounds as though a living trust is a very complex type of financial planning tool. Who can help me decide if one is right for me?

It is best to consult with a lawyer or a trust officer familiar with living trusts to determine if one is right for you. Do not rely solely on mail-order or do-it-yourself trust kits, as they may contain information that is misleading or inappropriate for your circumstances or your state's law. There is more information on living trusts in chapter 18, "Estate Planning."
