I have no income other than my Social Security check. Would a living trust or a power of attorney help me manage my money?

A living trust is far too costly and complicated for this kind of situation. A durable power of attorney definitely would be helpful. However, if the primary need is to take care of the Social Security check, a representative payee may be the simplest way to help you take care of your daily expenses and manage your small income.
