Medicare and Medicaid

What is Medicaid?

Medicaid is a medical assistance program that serves low-income people of every age. Unlike Medicare, which offers the same benefits to all enrollees regardless of income, Medicaid is managed by individual states, and the benefits and eligibility vary from state to state. Medical bills are paid from federal, state, and local tax funds.
