Medicare and Medicaid

What does Medicaid cost me?

Medicaid does not require you to pay premiums or deductibles like Medicare. Providers may not charge you additional fees beyond the Medicaid reimbursement amount. However, states are permitted to impose a nominal deductible charge or other form of cost sharing for certain categories of services and prescription drugs. If you are receiving Medicaid, a participating provider may not deny you services because of your inability to pay the charge.
