State Children's Health Insurance Program

Are my kids eligible for SCHIP?

Each state can set its own income eligibility level. Most states have set the maximum eligibility level at 200 percent of the federal poverty level. This level is adjusted every year, and varies depending on size of family. In 2003, if you had an income up to $36,800 a year and a family of four, your kids would have qualified.
