Licensing of Doctors, Nurses, and Hospitals

When can a license be revoked?

It is difficult to get a doctor or nurse's license revoked. A professional license is considered "property" under the Constitution, so the person must be told the reason for the revocation and given a fair hearing. The most common ground for suspending a license is unprofessional conduct.
