Setting Up and Maintaining a Trust

Can I name more than one trustee?

Yes. Many trust creators name cotrustees. For example, when a married couple decides to establish a trust, the spouse creating the trust often names himself or herself as one cotrustee and the spouse as the second cotrustee. As a further protection, the creator will name a successor trustee who would manage the trust in the event that one or both of the cotrustees dies or resigns their trustee duties.
