Where can I file a complaint about debt collection agencies?

You should file complaints about consumer credit reporting agencies or debt collection agencies with the Federal Trade Commission. The same goes for complaints about violations of the Truth in Lending Act and other federal laws involving credit issued by retail stores, department stores, and small loan and finance companies and for credit-related complaints about oil companies, public utility companies, state credit unions, or travel and entertainment credit card companies.
