Dear (Name):

On (date) I bought a used (describe make, model, year, service number, color) for the sum of $XXXX. At the time of the sale, you stated that the car was a "cream puff," in perfect mechanical condition.

It was agreed that your shop would perform any and all repairs if the car malfunctioned for any reason for a period of 60 days after the date of purchase. This was inserted into the sales contract and initialed by both of us.

Last week, while I was driving the car to (location), the car broke down. An AAA representative towed the car back to my home. Despite several telephone calls to you, the car is sitting in my driveway while you keep telling me "to be patient "

I require the use of an automobile for my business, and I am renting a replacement at the sum of $35 a day while your car is inoperative. Unless the car is repaired to my satisfaction immediately per our understanding, I will bring the matter to the attention of the Department of Consumer Affairs, the Consumer Fraud Division of the Attorney General's Office, and the Better Business Bureau, and I will consider instituting legal action against you.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Sincerely,

(Signature)

Please investigate the matter on my behalf. I am enclosing a copy of the sales contract, letter of protest sent to ABC, costs of renting a replacement car, and other documentation for your review.

Please contact me at the above address if you require any additional information or assistance.
