Chapter 2 : Getting Started
Don’t Procrastinate (This Means You)

OK, OK, maybe estate planning is a good idea, but your financial records are shoved in boxes under your desk, you don’t know a lawyer who does this kind of work, and it all seems like way too much trouble. How hard is it to plan your estate? Will you ever be able to put your feet under your desk?

Estate planning doesn’t have to be a huge hassle. You don’t have to be an expert on tax laws or the intricacies of wills. You have to think about what you want to do with your assets, and you have to gather some information—but the more you gather, the less work your lawyer may have to do, and the greater your savings.
