951. What does "active duty for training" mean?

"Active duty for training" means:

  1. Full-time duty performed by a member of a Reserve component of a uniformed service in the active military or naval service of the U.S. for training purposes;

  2. Full-time duty as a commissioned officer of the Reserve Corps of the Public Health Service for training purposes;

  3. Full-time duty as a member of the Army National Guard or Air National Guard of any State;

  4. Annual training duty performed for a period of 14 days or more as a member of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps, the Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps, or the Air Force Reserve Officers' Training Corps; and

  5. Authorized travel to and from any duty or service described in (A) - (D) above.
