1614. Can direct payments be made to a beneficiary after a reevaluation shows he or she is capable?

Yes, if a reevaluation of capability shows that the beneficiary can manage or direct the management of benefit payments. If the beneficiary is mentally and physically able to manage benefits, direct payments can be resumed.
