A. Lie Detector Tests

The federal Polygraph Protection Act of 1988 bans virtually all employers from requiring workers to submit to lie detector tests. If you are pressured to take such a test, speak to a lawyer immediately because such a request is probably illegal. If you refuse to take a test and are fired, you may have grounds to sue.
