Elder Abuse



Elder abuse is the physical, emotional, sexual or financial mistreatment of a senior citizen who is unable to care for him or herself. While not all states have laws specifically addressing elder abuse, most offer adult protective services for older adults who suffer from abuse, neglect or self-abuse.
